You Let GoYour Mylar zebra balloon drifted to the ceiling
the air stopped being fresh
but we all stopped counting
because breathing is unimportant

"You know, it's a good thing that Autumn is my favorite season or who knows what I'd be like."
She would say, smiling vacantly while doing something with her hands. As if there were that many seasons to choose from.
Thinking about it now, I can find a lot of shared similarities between Autumn and the season. They both always seemed to be in transition. Always trying to get there, but never far from something beautiful. And both of them seemed to be bathed in a glow, a glow of yellow golds and reds and oranges. Not just her skin, but her whole being glowed. She attributed it to the colors she wore but I knew better. She said she looked best in 'Bold Colors'. I made the mistake of asking her what exactly would qualify as 'Bold Colors' and she explained that it stemmed from Crayola markers.
